anyone know where to buy TRUE zinc chromte in a spray can??

Try a marine store... the last time I saw a can was in a boat dealership. Not sure if maybe the EPA has killed real chromate... not a real environmentally friendly product.

Aircraft Spruce sells it. Or you can get it at most aircraft supply shops.

Chromate is still out there...and is still being used in paint...but I agreee...the EPA is "cracking down" on heavy metals in paints...and it will...I am sure in the future... become harder for a person who is not registered with the EPA to buy these products....and use them.

I would go to an aircraft parts place. It is slowly being replaced by Zinc Phosphate which achieves the same protection.

OKAY, SO I FINALLY GOT MY SPRUCE AIRCRAFT CATALOG, AND GUESS WHAT?, ITS IN THERE..ZINC CHROMATE... YELLOW OR GREEN!! SO NOW THE QUESTION IS WHISH COLOR IS CORRECT??...AND PORCH DOG, WHICH EPOXY PRIMER IS YOURE FAVORITE FOR A C-2-3??......THANKS!!

i use gray spi. it changes color when you sand. it has a gloss and the gloss works as a guide coat.

PORCH DOG, I FOUND THE WEB SITE YOU RECOMMEMDED, AND READ THEIR FORMULA FOR A CUSTOM LASTING PAINT JOB, DO YOU AGREE WITH THOSE 6-8 COATS OF CLEAR IN ALL?? HOWS THIER CLEAR TO SHOOT? I THINK I SAW A 4TO1 IN THIER INVENTORY......THANKS
