the hood on the 57 was busted up pretty bad at the hinge areas. we tried to repair it but id didn't hold. so we ordered a replacement from corvette central. just like the orig smooth on both sides........ yeah right. it was the biggest pos i have ever seen. the underside was brushed with gelcoat trying to hide the choppergun junk. it was sent back . so we ordered one from ecklers . looks much better , mades closer to the original. but the underside is just as bad. it will take a full day to get the bottom smooth enough for paint. i am really getting tired of paying top shelf money for backyard parts. just thought i would share. this is in spi epoxy . http://images.streetrodding.com/messages/453826.jpg
