Default 2002 Corvette Coupe - Twin turbo, TSP 347, Forgestars, big power! - Seattle Area

I've had this car for a little while now and while I really love it, I'm considering a C7 order. If I can get what I want for it, I'll sell it.

Please know I have receipts for EVERYTHING on this car, $12k for the TSP motor and install, $7k for the twin turbo kit, another $2000 for upgraded turbos, $2200 for Forgestar wheels, $1500 more for tires, etc. Most of the mods have been done within the last 6 weeks, so everything is new! Original window sticker, manuals, etc. - Building this car would cost the price I'm asking in MODS ALONE (before labor or even buying the car itself!)

Anything below marked as "new" has less than 1k miles on it.

This car is capable of 1000+ whp - It's currently on stock STS turbos and making about 640whp, and I have Turbonetics turbos on order, and they will be installed before the sale (along with a re-tune of the ECU). The items marked with * will be installed before sale as well. This car will need NOTHING and has NO ISSUES! Turn key and have fun!

Car will also come with Stock polished Y2K wheels with decent tread Hankook V12s up front and nearly bald V12s in rear. (So you get TEN! wheels/tires total!)

I figured it'll take a specific buyer to sell this, so I'm not in a rush to sell. But yes, eventually I'll be ordering a C7

That is a stunning car. Beautiful and seemingly done with all the right parts and attention to detail. Somebody's going to get a screaming bargain... except

The car was presumably built to your personal taste. No issues there, but I've often wondered how easy these "special" cars are to sell and, if when they do sell, how much of the cost can one expect to recover?

Please understand I'm not trying to be critical, just curious. I see any number of people on this forum who modify their cars. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm a poor pensioner who loves his C6 Aero Lightweight (1 of 42 - pay no attention) bone stock. I figure it's worth less than half what I paid for it new.

Sounds to me like someone who buys your car gets the mods for free and the car at something close to market value - or the other way around.

No argument proposed here, just my own curiosity at play.

Other than the vinyl and wheels, which are both easily removed.... What I have built are the items you NEED to make this type of power and do so reliably. Anyone who has built a car of this power, or who want to, will likely know this. And those people are the types who will likely realize this is a good price, and also likely the types who would buy such a car.

I'm not taking any offense to your words, just clarifying that simply removing the black vinyl, leaves you with a stock Silver C5 canvas that anyone can make "their own" - and the power/performance will still be there in a reliable fashion.

Tasteful, well built cars will eventually sell. It's all about finding the buyer that the car " speaks to". Highly modded cars are real bargains if you know what you're looking for.

With that said, that is a gorgeous C-5. I'm sure someone will come along who is looking for a tasteful, turn key rocket ship

There are LOTS of car shows and some Corvette only shows in August. You should take it to some with a For Sale sign . I don't think any of the show organizers mind your doing that!

I might do exactly that if it's still for sale.

Thanks!
