HoD Event @ PIR April 24th
I'm signed up. This will be my first track day of the year and.... my first time out with 3 pedals (I converted from an A4 to an MN12 in January).
Can't wait. Who else is going?

I will be at the Ridge with HOD this Friday. There will be a C7 for you to test drive at PIR. HOD now has Corvette as a partner and will have one at every HOD event the rest of 2014.

I haven't been to the Ridge yet. Hopefully, this year I will. Are you going to try the C7 at the Ridge? I passed a few emails with Don already in hopes of getting on the "Chevrolet focused list" at PIR. It would be badazz to give them a try.
Have fun there!

You will like the new C-7 Stingray on the track. Spent 3 days at Spring Mtn last week. Had fun sliding it around the track, 3rd day was 4 out of 6 track sessions in wet track to heavy rain and standing water on the track. Last two sessions on Day 3 it dried out so we were able to rip around the track without the speed dampening WET conditions.

Last Friday at Thunderhill we had rain all morning. Put the C7 in Wet mode and still had a blast....dried up in the afternoon and was even more fun. I was at Pahrump last December...what a place that is.

So could someone tell me more about Hooked on Driving ( I had to look it up on the PIR calendar)
I have a 66 so not likely to be doing any hot laps but might be fun.

As a beginner, you will get an instructor (at least one, maybe two!) riding with you and he will offer instruction and advice as you drive the course. And after each session, there will be meeting to discuss what you have learned.
PIR is a fun track and relatively easy on brakes.

Go www.hookedoYesterday 24 people got to drive the C7 at the Ridge
Why not?? The track days I have attended have had cars that were not "performance cars" by any stretch. As long as you have decent tires, good brakes and a desire to drive the car at speed in a controlled environment, you should have lots of fun with your mid-year!! Nothing says you have to go real fast.

go to www.hookedondriving.com.
The member with the '66 will like the organization and the track (PIR).

Safety Car
I've seen everything from stock VWs to a Mercedes station wagon this last Friday running in the A group. If it's your first time on the track just come out and enjoy your car, learn a little about being on the track, and enjoy the comraderie .

I went to the HoD event @ PIR yesterday. I had a great time in spite of the occasional DOWNPOURS!!!
The first group out met a couple of ducks swimming in a big puddle on the track in turn 8.
My first session was very wet. I got a lot of practice in car balance and correcting a few throttle induced snap over-steers.
Second session was dry and fun.
Third session I drove the C7 Stingray (in a downpour). It is a great car, fun to drive with lots of torque. The seats had great lateral support and very functional using the 3-point belts. (Congrats Chevy - finally!).
Fourth session was also dry and fun.
Great event. Kudos to HoD.
