The Infamous Sammamish Slough Race
Those of you who have lived in the area for many years may recall the Sammamish Slough boat Races held every year between Redmond and Kenmore.
Looks like there's going to be a retrospective event on April 5th or 6th and this time with some boats in the water. Certainly modern liability issues preclude the madness of the event as it once was, but here's some more info along with some old movies.
Might be fun for those of you who weren't around for the mayhem and carnage of the good old days.

Sorry, thought I'd sent a response when posted...but you may have been drinking....
Very cool! Particularly liked the hydro vid...I think the third down....cool as hell....reminded me of when I was born a poor black child (1 of 42).
Thanks.

Don't you mean black sheep? I don't know what you were as a child (somebody's science project maybe?) but you're beginning to make me think of the sort of people I used to run around with when my high school voted me, "mostly likely to be back again next year". Unlike my Aero Lightweight (1 of 42) I'd say you are 1 of a kind. Thank god.
