excellent article. We have only had ours for a little over a week. Ken let me drive it yesterday and WOW!!!
Only disagreement I have with article, is that I think the C4 &C5 are great models!! The C6 not so much. The the bells and whistles in the C7 are revolutionary! And, yes we are glad he ordered the Z51

Another very nice review. And what was that phrase “…gazing over the curvaceous hood in the cockpit-style interior….”

Ah yes ………… spawn of the C4

It is too bad that they didn't opt for the Superman interior for the car in the article.

Writers sure know how to make 'em sound like the ultimate in Corvette excellence. I'm looking forward to finding a dealer willing to allow test drives one of these days.

Walter, looks like you just got in under the gun. GM just raised the price for the C7 by $2000 and the Z51 option by $1200. All the more reason for me to keep what I have.

It's so unfortunate that such a wonderful car is so often offered through mediocre - at best, usually - dealers. When I bought my '07, I wasn't allowed to test drive the car until I bought it. Not that there was going to be any great risk since I wouldn't sign the final papers until I did drive it. Fortunately the car met my expectations and went home with me. I've had the car for over 7 years and still enjoy it very much. However, this experience with the test drive remains the only blemish on an otherwise reasonable deal.

I maintain that the worst thing about a Corvette is that they are sold by Chevrolet dealers. I'll likely look into getting a C7 next year after all this foolishness with mark ups and making many of us feel unworthy to buy one settles down.

Based on what I've learned on this forum, I'll be likely to consider buying from a forum dealer or possibly consider a used one from a private party.

Why don't these characters understand that we're not spending their time looking for joy rides?

A point: In the years I spent selling Ferraris and other exotics, not once did anyone come in and simply ask for a test drive.
