I purchased my C7 back in October and live in Portland (Close to Beaverton).

Is there a Corvette club in the city?

Yes there is a great club. Mt Hood Corvettes. www.mthoodcorvettes.com
We are a very " active club. Lots of drives,burgerruns, trips to car shows, etc,etc. Some of the WA clubs have even joined us since we are so active.
Go to the website. Click on the calendar (right side) and the highlighted date. It will show the upcoming events. I have only put on a few, but lots to come. Be sure to check out the Corvettes and High Performance Feb 8&9 and the High Desert July 18&19 which are limited. We usually have a club cruise to the event.
