PacNW Trackday Roll Call, Coordination and Track rats Thread

Been there about 12 times over past 3 years. With Proformance lapping days, turn 2 and Porsche club events. Track is older and bumpy in spots. Doesn't handle water well. I like 3a and b, 5a,b and 6 turns.

Me too, been there many times over the last few years.. I personally like the Ridge better but Pacific has lots of character .. it is not a forgiving track though. One mistake and you're pretty much done... here's me at pacific last year in my m3:

Thanks for the pic SEAPAR....lol...it worked, not a spot on the car!
As for tires...I think I picked up as much as I lost!
BTW Should I scrape all that extra rubber off?
Nice to re meet Will again....looking forward to his video(s) and great chatting between sessions!
And lastly, BIG thanks to w00tw00t for posting and alerting to a great opportunity. Sorry we didn't get more time to talk.
Great day, GREAT track, and BTW a great car!

It was one of the best track days that I have had in a while. It was so much fun! Thanks for coming out and playing. Going reverse course was exceptional! This was the first time that there was a run group to go opposite direction.
It was also fun to take the GT40 out for a spin......

AAAALRIIIIIGHT!!! Pacific Raceways is ACTUALLY paving turns 7 - 9! For those who don't know, it's probably the oldest pavement West of the Mississippi and has no room for error. If you look on the M3 video above that "WootWoot!" provided, its right where the video starts (Sounds sick BTW).
I've heard this before but they are actually cancelling the next open track for this so I feel its real this time
As for you Ridgers, I wish I could have joined you on either of these latest, sunny, open-track days. I LOVE me some GT40
Hope to see any of you on some new pave @ P.R.!
Hey Tom, does the Ridge have a car for the USCR this year? Any 24 hr plans?

It is good news to hear about the paving at Pacific. I will give them a call directly and find out when it will happen. Can't wait!
There are some enduros planned, buy I don't think that they are as long as 24 hrs yet.
Here is a link to some photos for the day at the Ridge Motorsports Park! There are a few Corvette's seen in action here. It reminded me of how great of a day it was!

I suppose I'll check in.
I have a good amount of lapping days under my belt in the Northeast (pocono, NJMP, Watkins, etc) and then moved out here and finally got something track-worthy again... my 3rd C5.
This one is a built 347 car with an STS twin turbo kit, so not the best for track days but I wanted it as a street car first. I have some plans for it and hopefully can get it to 2-3 track days later this year. I have some mods planned for it first (specifically seats, as the stockers have always been a sore spot with me) and some better rubber.

New C5 Z06 owner here. I've tracked some momentum cars before (BMWs, Porsche) but not something with the output of this beast. I'm looking forward to getting it on the track...

Get good tires/brake pads (obviously you know this if you've tracked before), don't be stab-y with the throttle, you'll be fine

Thanks. Got a set of Nitto NT05s to replace the worn out Bridgestones that were on there. Any brake pad & rotor recommendations? The brakes feel ok but there is some pulsing from the rotors so I know they need attention soon here.

Update on Pacific Raceways. After talking to John the track manager and Willis the facilities manager, they are currently getting bids for the work to be done. They have some money set aside, but they are hoping that the bids come in the budget dollars. Nothing is yet promised yet at Pacific.
Update on the Ridge Motorsports Park. There is a hold up on all track activities at this time until next Monday after a court hearing. This is too bad because we have an astonishingly great day coming up this weekend! 52 and sunny! It is really hard to beat that in January!
The winter track fees at the Ridge this winter season is only $175.00 for the day. This is very reasonable for the amount of seat time that is available.
