Back in Washington
I spent a few months in Arizona this summer, but am driving the Corvette back up to Washington tomorrow.
This will be the fourth trip in my 2001 Corvette. The tires probably need to be rotated and the engine serviced, but otherwise it is performing admirably.
Yesterday, I drove 13 hours from Phoenix to a small town called Susanville, CA. During this incredibly hot and humid leg of the trip, my driver's side window decided to break.
It won't go down anymore. Combine this with the lack of A/C in my car and you will have a very uncomfortable and sweaty driver.
At one point, I looked out the window and saw a semi truck trailer with giant blue letters painted on it that read "NUDE WOMEN."
Mind you, this was in the middle of the desert somewhere in Arizona/Nevada.
I was tempted to drive down the dirt road to get a better view of this strange scene, but had a feeling that some unnamed horrors awaited me there.
So I drove on...

welcome back to the "wet world" Didn't you kind of get things backward?? You go to the desert in the winter!!
No AC? Sounds like you need a lot of work on your car. I have an 02Z with almost 90,000. Only problem I have is once in awhile it won't turn over when I try to start it. Seems some loose wires on passenger side, but have it at mechanics right now and they can't find it. 3rd mechanic I have tried. Love my car it is my DD.

Beautiful day.
A little rainy. A little cloudy. A little sun.
Arizona is such an inhospitable place.
Nevada sucks, too.
Okay. Time to find a job.

What's up in Washington, besides rain? Better check your windshiled wipers too.....
Too bad your driver window regulator didn't go out because I have a used window regulator pulled from my driver side. My passenger side went out too. Supposedly, they fail from a lack of use.

Vik toy. Have you tried replacing the ignition switch? I had a similar issue and solved it with a new switch. It was burned just like Bill Curlees sticky post.
I repaired my abs ebcm with a new relay from digikey. However I still had issues due to failed solder joints at the bus connector that abs fixer repaired.

I got my "baby" back yesterday but have a terrible cold and don't want to drive until I am more "here".
The starter switch was replaced a few years ago. Wilsonville Chev talked GM into covering a Recall and update that at first they said they wouldn't cover! Thanks Wilsonville Chev. Hope this takes care of it
Anxious to get out and "zip" around corners-especially with the warm weather coming up.
