Default Videos from Turn 2 May 4th

Thanks Tom for putting on a fantastic event as always.

My first time ever burning through a full set of pads in a day AND boiling my brake fluid It was pretty scary not having brakes and doing over 100 coming to a corner.

Not sure if I caught anyone on the forum in these but I have a number of them with plenty of vettes

DISCLAIMER: I was hyper sensitive / frustrated due to the red MR2 and the Green Mini that were not letting people by most of the day so anything I said out of frustration in any of these videos was really just a result of that.

After watching the video I realized the red Z06 probably had an instructor and wasn't aware of the fact that I was behind him.

For any of you that haven't been to one of Tom's events, I highly encourage you to come out. You won't find a better group to run with.

On to the videos:

Mike (#505): *Thanks for throwing rubber at my windshield Mike :p

Red C5 Z06 and Silver C5 Coupe

Having some fun after Tom opened the track up to everyone:

You bet! I'm finding that dashware isn't aligning perfectly with the data in some of the videos though. Does anyone have experience using Dashware?

Have you synced the data with Dashware at all? There is a sync feature you can use to make sync perfect. However, if you're not using an external GPS receiver with higher frequency (like the 10 Hz Q-Star I use), the data will be coming from the 1 Hz GPS sensor your phone has, which will delay and skew your Dashware gauges at times.

I just used dashware to load the video file and the data file -is there another step I should have taken?

As for GPS, it's a Contour2+ camera with GPS built in (so not my phone).

I'd like that Tom. I think the last 1/4 of the track is where I need the most work.

Yep, there is a sync section, where you can offset the data file so it would match video with no lag (or vice versa).

Nice post, Austin. Looks like you were having a ton of fun.
I'll be out there later this summer once I get new hand controls for my car that are a bit "safer" than my current setup.
Thanks for posting the videos.
