Who likes the new C7
From what's been released, looks like this will pretty much be the new C7. What do you guys think? This looks more like a 2015 or 2016 model, as I doubt they will have a GS, Z06 or ZR1 in 2014 (hood vents and spoiler)

I'll need to see it in person but I'm liking what I've seen so far.
Now if they just bring out the Z06 with dual clutch paddle shifters...

Hate to say it, but it has a decidedly Japanese look to it. Still looks great though. At least from the front 3/4 view. The rear would look better if they had left on all the cammo from the spy shots. Those Camaro-style taillights have got to go.
Even so, it would still be a stunner if it had chrome wheels.

If thats really it, yuck. Maybe it will look better in real life. The square tail lights suck and the rear side panels are too flat sided. And too much space above the rear wheels.

The side windows have a 599-ish look to them.
I'll reserve my final judgment for when I see it in person.
The wheels are the right color though

It's becoming increasingly apparent to me from the posts on this thread that we are all in some sort of agreement. The new style sucks! My guess is that the final iteration will be cleaned up and be a little more conservative, while maintaing the basic proportions.
The rear end is gruesome and my guess is that the Camaro-like taillights will give way to more traditional Ferrari-like round lights, ala C5 and C6. I simply don't understand the side "grilles" behind the front wheels. I think there will be something there, and it will be new, but I hope they take a cue from the earlier models and simply make this a body contour. Again, like the C5 and C6.
As Nofakejake suggests I think the stuff on the hood will be little more than a place holder for the later ZO6 and ZR1 model accoutrements.
The black wheels are nothing more than to reassure the youngest of those on this forum that no part of this concept will be left attractive.
Given even the small sample of diverse opinions on this thread I've got to say this isn't exactly what we're going to see in a couple of weeks. If it is, i'm keeping my C6 Aero Lightweight (one of 42) for a long time.
A very long time... (okay PG and Fred, no old age comments please. The term, long time, is relative)

I think it gives new meaning to the term, "butt ugly" in the literal sense. That butt is an abortion and the tail lights.....well.... It sure isn't the design team creativity of yesteryear. Looks more like a rice burner to me. The C6 grew on me but there are still things about the front of them that I don't like. But this......

I really like 70% of the design. The curve of the hood, the strong body line that starts at the front point of the nose and sweeps across, and then flows all the way down the body, and the crease that starts at the headlights and carries over the fender and then trails to the upturn in the rear quarter window. All very well integrated, and flowing.
What I really think I'll dislike is the cluttered, busy tail, and for goodness sake... Please call Nissan, and get them to take back the 350Z side reflectors from the wheel arch. And from the front 3/4 view, the rear quarter panel looks like leftover Celica parts. It doesn't look as bad from the rear 3/4 view, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it'll look better in person.
Can't wait to see the real one in person, but if this rendering is accurate, I'll only buy one when someone brings out an aftermarket rear panel that looks cleaner.

i am on the fence about it, i do like the front, kinda ferrarish, the back looks like some smashed a new camaro in its ****, and that roofline, you know its not gonna be a corvette unless it has a huge rear wrap around window

IMHO, I think it looks great, I must agree just out of tradition rear lights should have been round! Looking forward to seein one 'LIVE"

The cammo'd mule pics that have been circulating the web have shown round tail lights so I'm taking a wait and see position until next month.

I don't know. It's hard to tell who likes what we've seen so far. Going by the activity in the "C7" section I would say there is an apparent negative lean to the available styling information. Most of that is centered around the rear of the car. It seems like the most vocal people on any issue are those that have a negative opinion of said issue. If this is true then the data we see in the "C7" section could be incorrectly skewed to the negative. Having spent a little bit of time there it would appear to me that a relatively small number of people as compared to the other forum sections seem to post continuously their negative feelings further reducing the number of actual unique individuals. Does this mean the silent majority like the car so far? Does this mean the majority are actually in a wait and see mode before being critical of a design that in truth has not been officially revealed yet?
I don't think we'll know who or how many like the C7 until this time next year once we have a couple months of solid sales data to examine. Even then it will take longer than that to accurately trend the cars popularity.
