I would think the nose would be a go or no go in design and clay before expending the cash for the tooling to press one out but who can say for sure?

You might be right, but it's mostly computer-animation so they can do whatever they want.

Intriguing though, huh?

Basing it off the front fascia mold we see in the video and the tooling mold of the rear fascia around the 1 minute mark I would say that is C7 body work since both pieces are an EXACT match for the jalopnik rendering from a few months back. The renderings appear to be spot on since the first look we are seeing of actual tooling and parts looks identical. That tooling is very expensive and only built once the design is set. Maybe the car will look better in person than it does in drawings or pictures. On a positive note I do like the shape of the front fascia a lot. Very aggressive, very Corvette.

I like the front as well....I see little white (or orange) LED's in our future. And the back they were working on appeared to be upside down and the inside of the rear bumper skin.

Having said that, the back end sucks from what I can see. Like you said, maybe it will look better in person. Fingers crossed.
