Default Tom Wong, Pfadt and Katech to the rescue - build thread in C6 Z06 section

With almost 41k miles and with close to half of those on the track, the Z has been looking and sounding a little tired. So it's off to "Tom House of Horrors" for serious surgery. One bad Frakenstein coming up!

Something Corvette for the next 5-6 weeks while the driving weather is not so good...

Excellent! There is just something so cool about a picture of a Corvette in the air with the drivetrain removed below. I look forward to following the build.

Default Beef?

Ok Dean what are you going to do powerwise? Are you going to add some beef?

Oh no, I just read the other thread, sounds like a little more under the hood. Guess I'll be seeing your tail lights down the straight! Look forward to hearing more. See you this season.

Scott

Hi Scott,

Not that these cars really "need" more HP, but since we were in there...

Toms thinks it will gain around 120 HP over the stock numbers. Yikes!

Dean, Dean, Dean... Since when does "need" enter into the picture? What about on the strait at Road America? Didn't you wish for a few more ponies then? Think of all the fun you'll have once it's done!

Dean, when do you think Tom will be ready to put that on the dyno? If its after April 12th, let me know. I'd like to be there for that. Its about time for another visit to Tom's for pizza.

Sorry Fred, but it should (hope) be sooner than that! Tom has been working hard on getting everything else replaced/fixed except the motor. Motor assembly is next week. I hope car is ready for the dyno the week of March 19-23. Would like to take delivery by the end of March. I have track events scheduled for April 6th and 7th that would be a good time to test.
