It's been awhile since Laurie and I have done something for everyone at the house. In fact we only did one GTG all of last year so we're making up for it this year and kicking things off this month. That's right only three and a half weeks away. The theme...well more like the menu if the subject didn't tip you off is fine southern cookin'. Laurie has offered to cook up as big a batch of her chilli as our kitchen can handle. Maybe it will be enough to bring some Heat to this otherwise cold winter. At the very least keep the snow away.

Many of you know the rules and for anyone new that would like to come out and say hello it's pretty simple. Come on over and bring something you would like to share (eat or drink). That's about it. We are about as informal as it gets. The idea is to do some catching up and welcome any new faces that arrive.

As always everyone is invited. I'll keep track on here of those that are attending or maybe attending and what each person is bringing. I'll PM the address to those attending the week of the GTG. Hope to see you all there.

Sign me up (and Jenn)! I've missed the company of my GTG friends. Will Laurie be making enough Chili for all or should I bring some also? I make a pretty spicy dish with jalapenos! If not chili, maybe cornbread as that makes an excellent side dish.

The plan is to make enough for all. Depending on the turnout she said maybe she'll do a couple of batches. She plans to make it relatively hot with plenty of jalapenos. Oh and she said cornbread is a ok. Perfect to wipe up that last bite o chilli with.

Hi all. This is Laurie. I've hijacked Joe's login since he's still in the garage and won't stop working on the car. I told him I was going to update the GTG for him but I don't think he believed me.

Dave, it would be great to have you and Suzette and Brittany and Steve over to the house. Thanks for coming out to our only GTG at the house last year.

I doubt we will be able to make I won't know for sure until the 24th or 25th. If we can make it count us in for beer and Mexican Coca-Cola ( I finally found a place that sells it and I think everyone should experience it).
