Default FOPIR Track Day

Is anyone on the list attending this Saturday afternoon? Weather looks good. I'll be there in the black c5 breaking the rust off (me, not the car).

That was real fun yesterday. It took a few laps to get used to smaller steering wheel
How are the new brakes ?
The added passing zones between 3-4 and 6-7 were fun, it didn't get so bottle necked as bad.
I had to quite about 4 pm Motor is starting to get tired, blew a spark knock seal and was dripping oil on header smoking good from under the hood.
Time I got loaded up every one was gone.
I wanted to take a good look at your car and find out how the brakes are.
Hope to have car go soon may have to replace motor, rings must be fluttering
or ***** out It uses about 1+ quart every track day.

Rad Vet,

That's only half of a video. Just yanking your chain, from what I could see it looked like you were having a good time. Get that camera aimed a little better, it's quality looks great.

Which camera are you using, considering you U Tubed the footage it doesn't look like it suffered much degradation at all.

LastC5,

The camera is the Aiptek HD 1080P set for the lowest quality video. The "jerry rigged" camera mount moved during the session.

Chuck,

A few times flames shot out your tail pipe when down shifting! At the end of the back strait the flame shot about a foot! If you rebuild it now, I will have no chance of keeping up with you, unless there are alot of Miatas on the course!

The brakes worked well. I took it easy on them since I am not sure how they would act. Stoptech sizes the pistons so that the brake bias doen't change but I didn't want to take a chance. The car still dives hard in to turn 10. I don't think I will be able to get the most out of the brakes without stiffening up the suspension.

It was great to go to a Porsche track day with more Corvettes (5) than Porsches (2-3)! I love the Corvette!

Hi Tony,

Good to talk with you. Can you mount your camera lower? Would get to see a lot more track.

Sounds like your PS2's were screaming a lot but they looked ok. Would like to know how your rotors hold up. We can't seem to find any that won't crack. It was great top see all the Vette's out there. Did you see the CTS-V on track. I wanted to but never saw it.

We'll be out to the BMW days, see you there.

AH, 1080P. That explains it. I've got to get upgraded, my videos are never that nice.
