So last night at 12:30 someone in a Tow truck attempted to steal my girlfriends 97 Toyota supra. I was half way awake when i heard a loud noise only to see a tow truck backed up to my girlfriends car. Luckily ass soon as they tried to open the door the alarm went off and they took off. The police officer that came today said that isn't the first Supra in my neighborhood to get stolen by tow truck. I cant believe it because we live in a nice little neighborhood/community area where i last would have expected it. The must have know it was there. So basically if you live in Kent area watch out for a white tow truck with what looked like the stickers torn off. Well $890 bucks for a back glass so it looks like we will be paying the deductible instead
Wow man that is crazy. So she drives the Supra and you drive the vette? How did you get the short end of the stick? Nah man I am just messing with you. Pics of the supra though.
haha lol.. Ive always wanted a vette and she always wanted a Supra.. Personally after driving the supra and stuff I would prefer the vette way more anyway..
Location: Never be seen driving something you can actually afford.

Isn't that strange? I have always liked these Supras, especially the ones that are unmolested and left stock. This post served to remind me that one doesn't often see these anymore.
I wonder if this model will become one of the few collectible and significant Japanese "classics"? IMO the list is currently very short. To my mind it includes but a few cars,
Toyota 2000 GT
1970-1972 Datsun 240Z
Mazda Cosmos coupe
I think eventually the last generation Mazda RX-7 twin-turbo might make the list. Maybe the Datsun 510 - the poor man's BMW 2002.

Anyone care to add to the list?
same, i would think the supra IS a collectible by now. you cant find a stock one for under 10k, not bad for almost a 20 year old car IMO
I DO like the form of it though, friend got one, i still have yet to drive it
her's has Tien coilovers and seems to handle very well with 19x10fronts and 19x10.5 rears..
It sucks because there isnt even a aftermarket back glass for. The dealer wants 900 for it. Supposedly i guy I used to do auto glass with has one at his shop in mexico for 39 bucks..lol
I hope hes right.

my brother in law does body work and he always recommends checking with MS auto glass first before even wasting time at the dealers
also, you can go to: www.ineedcarparts.com and look up by car what you need, someone's got the whole trunk gate for $500 in troutdale(Maz-Toy Auto Recycling -PAR USA-OR(Troutdale) 1-800-800-4570), still alot but im sure you should be able to get it cheaper. (i just did a quick search since i gotta run off to work). good luck with it!

Thanks I appreciate it but I used to do auto glass so I know a bunch of people and everyone is telling me know one makes that back glass for the supra. PPG had it but discontinued the glass.. I know a guy that does auto glass in Mexico and he found me one for 39 bucks. Deals son
