So is this an awesome pic what? Dad's new 2009 somehere between here and Napa Valley on the Southern Oregon Coast. Yah he had to one up me and get more HP to beat me on the drag strip...LOL. So what can I do to my 2005 that will boost some HP for not alot of $$$...???LOL but I am dead serious...
Of course that is moot if he sees Tom also..The it will be a family horsepower war..
Very nice photo..Crystal Red I assume?...What all did he get on it??

All well said and some good photos too, but the really cool thing about this thread - or at least the OP - was that you and your father seem to share a common bond.
Without getting all maudlin here, my father and I never shared anything of interest together (other than who would get the car keys on weekend nights) and argued and fought and disagreed on everything under the sun. And the Moon too. Then he died at age 51 when I was barely into my 20's. Long before I discovered he had often been right about most things.
Cherish the relationship and, and especially, the competitive nature of your friendship.

Oh, and go see Tom.
Thank you. I do realize how lucky I am. We showed horses at the National and World level in Western Pleasure for years. He was so competitive that I beat him once in a big show and he sold my horse...funny family story now. He has had a love of Vettes since he had a new one in 1957...the car he met my mom in...doesn't have the car but he has my mom after all those years. He then had a sweet 63 roadster...2004 vert and now this one. At least if I beat him in my Vette he can't selll it...LOL
