Default Impromptu Fall Run, or The Dung Run..

Nice weather down Eugene way, so Bluesteel and I took a little impromptu fall run up 126 and down 20 to Sweethome, then back to Eugene..About 20 miles east of Eugene we were stopped to allow a couple of "Loaded" cattle trucks enter the highway ahead of us. The loaded part became apparent as soon as we started up a grade. The cow sh*t came running out the back all over the highway and the vetts.. I usually run with my windows down, so the cabin was filled with the aroma of fresh cow dung....I can testify that the cabin filter on the C6's works..After a couple of minutes with the window up, I was at least now NOT smelling what I was seeing. Of course the first straight stretch we both blasted by..At the first stop, Sahalie Falls we took the time to clean the cars. Because of the smell on the microfiber towels we had to bag them before putting them back in the cars..
Rest of the trip was uneventful, and very hard to keep focused on driving with all the beautiful colors nature was displaying..

Sahalie Falls

It was a very last minute decision..Bluesteel called me at 11:30 "the suns out, lets go"'..The cattle truck thing would not have been pleasant in a vert.. I will keep you in mind if we manage another during the week.
I have been keeping an eye on the weather hoping for a nice Saturday to get a forum run in..

What a sh**ty thing to happen on a nice drive. Nice pics and you gotta love that bright yellow hood outside the cockpit.
