Default Nw toy run 09!!!!

NW TOY RUN 2009
6th ANNUAL

December 5, 2009
Time: 12:00 pm
Place: Pacific Raceways
Bring: unopened toy

TOYS FOR TOTS

YEP. THATS RIGHT! SATURDAY DEC. 5th 12:00pm AT PACIFIC RACEWAYS( www.pacificraceways.com ). DROP OFF TOYS AND ENJOY THE PEOPLE AND CARS. LAST YEAR WAS AT THE EXTREME. OVER 700 CARS. LOTS OF FUN, AND LOTS OF TOYS. WANNA MAKE THIS EVENT SO LARGE WE WILL HAVE TO HAVE THE TACOMA DOME IN A FEW YEARS. LOOKS LIKE IT'S GETTING THERE SO LETS GET IT GOING!!!

This is going to be a BIG ONE. I want to see everybody there. I mean everybody. This is for the CHILDREN that are less fortunate. I don't care what you bring, a hot wheel or a stuffed animal. Just an unopened toy. This will show the community that People DO CARE. This will be an open forum event. I will post on other forums. Feel free to post on others also. YOU NEED TO BE AT THIS ONE.
LETS MAKE SOME KIDS HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS!

www.nwtoyrun.com

The web page is not up yet, hopefully soon

Some pics from 08 http://www.flickr.com/photos/3338446...7611410571704/

I HOPE TO SEE EVERYBODY , I MEAN EVERYBODY who has ever looked at this page to attend. As you can tell last years was AWSOME and this years will be better!!!!!!!!! This will be on a saturday and even in the after noon so NO EXCUSES! HA HA HA!!!!

The last few years we have been meeting up and driving as together as we could. Proved to be very difficult and time consuming. This year you can do one of two things, meet as your own groups and roll up together ( most do this already) or just show up. Either way you will be part of history. See you there!

This is an awsome event. I have been the last 4 years running. It is for a great cause. I would love to see the vette commuity come together for this. Last year there were so many different cars from F430's, R8's, GTR's, typical ricers, F-body, you name it.

Anybody from up north want to meet up and drive down?

We went down last year, and it was a good event. We've already started stockpiling toys for this years run.

The only problem was... No bathrooms at Pacific Raceways. Someone really should see if they could open up something this year. People were having to go in the bushes, and that's just wrong!

There were only a couple of Vettes last year. I know the weather's iffy, but it's for a great cause, and most of the other marques show up in good groups. If we don't get a good group of Vettes this year, I may be forced to drive my WRX! Please don't let that happen!

As soon as this gets closer we can arrange a meet up. Just make sure to bring as many toys as you can.

My wife and I are planning to participate. I'm in Monro, so as the caravan comes together I'd love to join up with the folks coming down from the North!

Would love to join you....but evidently cant drive the BEAST without a front plate....same WSP ass wipe....same location.

One could say that makes me not so bright....

But, I'm going to court...if only to prove I'm not so bright! That social experiment may be the final straw...buy my first gun, WalMart for ammo, borrow Fred's car....drive straight to Oly....deploy the parashoot....land at Tom Wong's.

Note: Oly sucked as a beer....but it was better than what it's become....

Ah, Walter, why don't you tell us how you really feel?

This is a benefit toy run. Do you need me to come pick you up? Maybe we can simply turn over our donations to Joe or someone else and then we can drive directly to the Riverside Ale House and enjoy a sip of single malt. Laphroig maybe?

Oh, BTW, it wasn't the taste of Oly that counted. It was getting those "4-Dot" labels that was most important. Especially if you could get them signed.

Ah, how many of you know what I'm talking about here?

Ah Phil, thank you for noticing! But I don't want to side track this thread any further than I already have. Feel free to start a new one lamenting my absence, singing my praises, and welcoming me back.

Better yet, let's just meet.....and have a toast. Fred/Joe, you out there? :

Don't invite Fred and Joe, you goofball, we'll be in the parking lot for hours listening to those two propeller heads (and I mean that in the most respectful sense) talk about superchargers, seats that fit nobody our size, lightweight components that would rival the "Balloon Boy's" space craft and how to completely dismantle and reassemble a ZO6 in less time than a NASCAR team can perform a pit stop.

Let's just have a good scotch and talk about Bose vs. standard Delco audio setups. You and I are far too old for this sort of stuff. Don't ya' think? How come you didn't go to the Fabulous Wailers concert with us?

I'm up for a caravan down there. The rest stop/weigh station on SB I-5 just north of 128th st has worked well in the past to stay together, will that work for you?

Looks like I'm out due to a conflict on that date

We're still supporting Toys for Tots at our workplace and other places...but I'm disappointed we can't be there

Less than a week away!!!!!!!!!
Want to thank everyone for being part of this event this year. I also want to stress on how important and a priviledge it is to be able to hold this event at Pacific Raceways. I hope we can continue this legacy at Pacific Raceways. So PLEASE be COURTEOUS and RESPECTFUL of their property. Last year went well, we did have a few people driving a little too spirited near the end. In order to keep our spot at Pacific Raceways this can not happen again this year. Please. Thank you and I will see you all there!!!!!
