Default Where do you wash your car?

For those of you that don't wash your cars at home, I'm wondering where you wash it at. I'm specifically looking for places that either offer the touchless washing, or allow you to bring your own bucket at mitt. It seems like all of the self-service ones these days have signs posted saying no hand washing or no buckets and mitts.

I've been going to a place called Squeaky Clean about a mile south of the airport on 99. They have a brushless wash that seems to do a pretty good job with the exception of the brake dust on the front wheels.

I'm kind of nervous of the brushless washed though. I don't know if the chemicals used are excessively harsh to make up for not using brushes. And I really don't want to go through one that uses brushes, regardless of how soft they are claimed to be. I would really prefer to find a place where I can use my own bucket and mitts.

I did a search of this forum and found lots of good comments about Derek's Detail. Unfortunately they are closed on Sundays and that's usually when I do my car washing.

No Flames Please

I use Kaaday Car Washes and have had great results.
Mine is a DD and I like to keep it as clean as I can.........hard to do in wet Oregon.

I go to Jim's detail in Federal Way (they also have a location in Sea-Tac that I haven't been to yet). They charge approx $18 for a hand wash.

I like Jim's Detail. I've used them for years for full details. I even drive past their Sea-Tac location on my to the Squeaky Clean. Unfortunately Jim's isn't open on Sundays.

You guys don't have problems with your fat tires in the cashwash's track?

Not that I'd run my Z through one, cause it's lowered and probably wouldn't clear anyway.

I've been curious about this myself. My previous C6 with 285's in the rear never had an issue with an automatic car wash.

Default hand wash

I have been having a very good experience at Auto Detailers on Rucker Ave in Everett. The guys name is Glen and they do a pretty good job. It is expensive $32 but you get a good clean car in about an hour. I did try another place called the Detail shop in Everett and if I could call in an air strike I would do it! I came back about 15 minutes early and caught my car being wiped down with about 3/4 of the body washed and the rest showing dirt, the windows and the wheels still dirty! Needless to say I stopped him right there hopped in and drove off! They will never see my car again!
Try Glen tell him the guy in the Red ZO6 sent you!

I wash my car at home, but just a heads up I scraped one on my wheels on the guide track at a car wash. The tires are such a low profile the wheel rubbed on the metal guide, good way to mess up your wheels.
