Default Portland Area Machine Shop

I'm looking to rebuild an old LT1. I don't have much personal experience with machine shops in the Portland area and need some help finding a good one. I'm going to send the heads out (unless there's some strong convictions on someone's personal work done locally), so I would mainly be focused on balancing the rotating assembly and block work. Distance isn't so much a concern as is solid, reputable work.

My goal is to pump out 400 rwhp while staying with the stock bottom end. It's not going to be any kind of race car, just want some extra passing power.

Thanks guys!

I have dealt a little with Eastco Machine in Gresham. I've only heard good things.

Anyone else?

Schnell Automotive, Tim and Bill are second generation engine builders, race car mechanics and builders. Drop by the shop and visit with them.
They are on NE Lombard.

Also try Bearing Service in Downtown Portland. They are a well established machine shop of over 50 years, and have an excellent rep. I have been doing business with them for 20 years + and have nothing but good things to say
