Default Cam and Head Package

Well, the final part of my car's power trasnformation is under way. I dropped it off at Wong's Performance last night for the cam and head package. I think I'll be finished with the power mods for a while. This winter I hope to do a Z06 brake upgrade as well as Z06 fenders and front end. Power before beauty.

If I had your car I wouldn't need 'em.

Did you have to flycut your pistons or anything for Valve to Piston clearance with that cam?

More power is like SEX and MONEY, one can't have enough of either. I know my Z don't need any more power but........a cam, headers, heads and intake is easier and much easier to maintain than a blower And it will make as much power or more than my old blown LT4 C4 and be quieter and easier on fuel as well!

Just an fyi that there was/is a forum vendor selling C6 Z06 brake kits for $1,200 shipped which is a few hundred below any other vendors and actually cheaper than most used sets go for

Not sure if they have any left

Power is more reliable than sex. Just like my dog always being happy to see me no matter where I've been, what I've done or how much money I've spent on my car. Get that from the other half and you'll have the perfect marriage.

Some time ago when I had a different "other half" one night while I was under my C4 when it was new "dinking around"......she says..."if you were under me half as much as you are under that damn Corvette, we wouldn't have half the issues we have now!"

So you right......

Looks like I will be doing beauty before power.

Sounds like you will have a nice setup Ken. I get to see how it works out for you before I do mine. Although with Tom doing it, I can't see how you could go wrong.

I heard from you that tom was doing the same one you got on Maui. The 229/241 631 or something like that...

I'm just getting a 232/234 .595/.598 w/ Ported 243s...

This LPE cam have a particularly rough idle? Whats the duration at .006? The ramp rates on the intake and exhaust side seem pretty different... kind of interesting...

I guess everyone has a different idea about what rough is, but I love the sound of the idle and I guess thats all that matters. This is a pretty aggresive cam good through 7k. The heads and cam swap made me 120 more rwhp. What is you LSA?
