Default Beaverton Needs More Red Light Cameras (Mini Rant)

Seriously. I don't know what the deal is out here - I've never seen anything like it. On average I probably see 7 to 10 cars blow through intersections each week. Just now I was almost nailed by some idiot who seemed totally oblivious to the fact he just ran a red light.
At least the 5 or so idiots I see each week who stop ON the rail road tracks are probably not going to hurt anybody else through their stupidity, but something needs to be done about the red light runners - who are endangering others.

I totally agree with ya. The other thing I hate are those that block intersections that are clearly marked DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION.

Red light cameras will only fine a person who blows through the light AFTER they already do it.

I'd rather see actually traffic cops patrolling the area. The physical presence of an officer IS a deterent. A red light camera is a revenue source.

Let's not get the two confused.

OH God, don't get me started with retarded drivers. I work for the highway dept. i see idiots all day! The bad thing is my life is in there hands. How about the guy behind you at an intersection while you are waiting to turn right, but there is a NO TURN ON RED sign and hes behind you laying on th e horn to turn. Something seriously needs to be done about these idiots!! OH, welcome to Los Angeles, Oregon. I see (i'll be nice here) foreigners that are driving big rigs and cause an accident without a liscense and act like it wasn't there fault and play the "i DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH" routine. I was at a fatality accident (automatic complete road shutdown) This lady got out of her car, came up and insisted i let her through because her dog had a vet appt. She became totally pissed and was gonna have my job because i would'nt let her through. I told her i'd go ask the dead guy splattered on the road up ahead, if its ok if she came through. hahahaha! What a idiot!
