Corvettes de Olympia
End of Summer Run to the Ocean
September 22nd 2007
Each year in September we run to the ocean for our last official overnight event. This year we would like to invite a few more groups to join us. With that, the information for the hotel is attached along with pricing.
What do we do on this event? Absolutely nothing! That is correct, our goal is to relax and have some fun, so no car show, no detailing, no car wash, and no car prizes. The only thing we do as far as a contest is to do a dead bug count when we arrive at the hotel and the car with the most dead bugs wins a crisp $20. how cool is that?
We will also be playing a few parking lot games when we arrive, so be ready to relive your youth. At 6:00 PM we meet back in the Pent House for a party, bring a snack and BYOB.
There is plenty to do at the ocean, you will have a few hours in the afternoon to go out and site see and after the party there is plenty to do in town including a very nice Casino.
So let us know if you would like to attend. Simply send me an e mail to add you to our list and call the number below to reserve your room. We have worked out a 40% discount for the night, so rooms start as low as $79.00.
We will be leaving the parking lot at Barns and Noble at 10:00 Am Saturday the 22nd.
The address is;
Barns & Noble
1530 Black Lake Blvd SW
Olympia, WA 98501
(Take exit 105 to Ocean Beach’s take the second off ramp, take a right and it is on your right”
We will cruise down some back roads to make the trip interesting. We will stop in the harbor for lunch.
After lunch we are going to break up into 3 or 4 groups to seek our fortune. Each group will be given a list of convenience stores or stores with Lotto kiosks to visit. Each car will buy $5 in Lotto tickets for the drawing that day. For all cars that participate, any money won will be divided up by the number that played.
The 4th team will be the team that chooses not to play and simply wants to continue down to the ocean.
Sunday morning at 9:00AM we will meet out front to walk over to the restaurant next door for the buffet breakfast. You will then have the choice to head on home or wait for the group to leave at noon and head back up the highway. There are plenty of shops to hang out in on Sunday morning if you wish.
Please send me an e mail to add you to our list and call the hotel to make your reservation.
We look forward to having you join us this year.
Bump time, next weekend. Still room for more, it looks like we have 20+ cars signed up to date.
It can also be a great day run as well as an over night run.
