XXX All Corvette Show

Don't forget to mark your calendars to come to the XXX Root Beer Drive-In All Corvette Show and Burger Bash on August 26th in Issaquah, WA.

This is one of the biggest All Corvette Show and Shines in the Northwest and we expect over 200 Corvetes this year.

Those of you who have attended in the past know what a good time it is with a bunch of great Corvettes to see and lots of great people to talk with.

I noticed a few postings asking about the format for the XXX Drive In All Corvette Show and Burger Bash event. This is a Show and Shine with trophies to at least the top three Corvettes in each category (and deeper than 3 places in some). Trophies are awarded on a "peoples choice" format with the voting being done by participants (and their passengers) only. There will also be a Best in Show trophy that is voted on by participants.

Voting starts any time after registration and ends at 2:00PM with trophies awarded at 3:00PM. Registration starts at 8:00AM with car parking starting at 7:30AM. (No cars will be parked before 7:30). Corvettes this year will be parked on a first-come-first-served basis, rather than by year. That way, groups can stay together if they all show up at the same time. Winning cars will be driven by their owners around the XXX Drive-In to the award area in front where folks can see the winning Corvettes. Too many times at shows like this you hear the winner's name but may not be sure which Corvette is theirs.

And to that individual who fells compelled to take shots at the Corvette Marque club.................the best way to avoid any discomfort you may have with the club, its members or its events is not not come to them!

I have posted all the winners of each category for the XXX event on the CMCS website. Go to www.corvettemarqueclub.com and under the section on the left called "News" click Club/Corvette. The results are posted there.

I can't find any pre registration information....even on the CMCS site

Just heard back from CMCS as follows:

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in the show. There is no pre-registration this year. We will start to park cars at 7:30 AM.

Any of you fine folks from the south sound and beyond care for an am meet along the I-5 corridor for the drive there ? I will be driving in from Kingston, south through Tacoma to I-5 and up... would love to meet, greet and drive in a group...

I thought I would head out around 9am from Kingston. That would place me on the I-5 about 9:45 to 10 am. I figure that puts me in Issaquah about 11ish... I am open to an earlier departure though....

How about meeting at McCormick Woods for breakfast? They open at 9AM which would be good for us. My wife will be co-pilot.

Also...fair warning (pun intended)...I'm a fair weather car show buff.

Sounds like a winner ! I may or may not have my Copliot with me, depends on her mood lol (I'll be sure to mention breakfast)...

I might be able to do that. Maybe I'll just join the caravan as it passes through Gig Harbor.

Well, I highly doubt that as most of your "Eat & Meet" members have no idea where the gas pedal is.... or they are to drunk after leaving the wine tour.
