Default Germany Roll Call

I'm Scott and I'm stationed at Ramstein AB Germany and currently drive a torch red 03 Z06. I haven't seen too many vettes rolling around but i know there's gotta be some out there. Trying to meet up for a cruise or what not.

hey scotty, we've pm'd each other before! i saw your car at the dragstrip in bitburg
i live in hamburg, but my c5z06 is still down south (close to spangdahlem air base) at a friend's place since i just moved back to germany a few weeks ago.

hoping to have it all set up and registered by march/april, not sure yet if i should get headers/intake before getting the TUEV done. we'll see.

there are many local corvette meets on the german corvette forums and hopefully there will be another c5z06 only meet at pfadt racing's office at the nurburgring next year. there's also the official german corvetteforum meet and the european corvette meet some time in the summer.

see you around.

Reviving an old thread in hopes of getting some info about bringing my Vette to Germany - can anyone give me some advice, do's and dont's concerning the inspection requirements? Headed to Spangdahlem in late summer - I have an 02 C5 mostly stock, I do have an exhaust, intake and aftermarket wheels as well as LED lights all around. I have done some reading and know that I need to remove my tint on driver and pass anything else I need to concern myself with before I ship? Thanks in advance for any help.

Steve - tint is the big thing...should be good otherwise best I can tell...exhaust and intake shouldn't make a difference, it's primarily a safety inspection. If headlights work, brake wear is good, and emergency brake works, you should be gtg! - Ben

If you are running straight through pipes and no cats then you might, and I mean might, have a problem depending on the guy doing the inspection.

I was finally able to register my car in april!

If anybody is interested I will be at Bitburg airport 07/06 and 07/07 for the quarter mile races where I saw Scotty's car last year.

Let me know what you think

I just ran the Nurburgring last week & I'm really thinking of dropping a C6 Z06 race car at a shop nearby so I can shred the Ring a few times a year while waving the flag

Rent4Ring where I rented the BMW M3 race car told me there is a Vette expert near the Ring but I'm still waiting for the contact info.

Anybody hear heard of this shop ?

Thanks

I'll pass it on... a little late notice for Easter Weekend.

I am about 40 miles from N'berg.

Is there a website that links to future activities?

Thanks

Congrats to all of you out there in Germany. You make me miss Deutscheland sehr viel.

Don't forget Race Wars in Eisenach and HockenheimRing. If you have a chance, World Tuning Bodensee was a blast as well; largest import show in Europe once a year.

Have fun and get a few videos prowling the Autobahn!

Just to let you guys know in Germany. On 20,21,22 June there is a huge car show in Geiselwind. its being sponsored by Street car magazine.
I went there last year and there was about 1500 Muscle cars. I never seen that many in Germany before Its about 30 min south west of Nuremberg.

I will be going. If anyone else wants to go PM me.

That stinks for me... heading back to the states on the 19th....

Any other "must see" shows in Germany after July 20?
