I used Schumacher Cargo in Paramount, CA (on web) but I would also suggest you directly contact their Bremerhaven agent LPL Lehnkering Projects (they speak good English) to compare cost. LPL's number from the US is 011 49 471 948 1654, Mr. Marcus Volkman. Although container sounds good to Vette owners, roll on roll off is more economical, and since they handle millions of cars at ports like Bremerhaven, your Vette is "just another car". Hurt my pride, too, but that's their business.
Good luck. Not sure how to sort out physical license for your car in Europe, but bring an International Driver's license for you, so that if you get stopped in France, etc., things will go smoother. Got my physical license on the car through Goverment channels but not sure how a tourist would do it.
Let me know it you have any other questions - I might be able to answer them. If not, I'll tell you that, too.

Hi,I'm new on forum
I wonder, how can you register a Vette in EU? what adjustments have to be made and at what cost?
I'm only 20,but quite big fan and I'm planning to get one in the future

If you live in EU, it will be easier to buy one there I would think. It's a bit more expensive, but you don't have to worry about getting it up to EU-specs which can be a hassle. (glass, lights, odometer to name a few)
To the OP: shoot a member called Bluewasp a PM, he has shipped a car to EU before, he might be able to point some things out.

As far as I know, there's no longer possible to legalize Vettes that don't comply with Euro-4 regulations, unless they can be registered as 'historical cars'. In my country (Spain) cars with no +25 years age or +2004 are no longer accepted by the Industry Ministry.
I know this thread is a little old but im stationed in northern Germany and was looking at buy an 09 C6 and insurance through USAA is $2200 a year. I am 31 years old with no tickets or accidents to give you an idea on insurance. To top that off that was telling them its only a weekend car.
Could be because I live less then 1 hour from Nurbugring lol. eh who knows.
I've shipped cars to Europe and back numerous times. I've always used containers, because I usually shipped other stuff at the same time. If you do ship it, be VERY CAREFUL that they anchor the tires properly!!!! If wooden blocks are used, the tires will rub against them during the ships movement and destroy them in no time. And get insurance as well...
