Default Greece: what kind of cars?

I just got back from a 2 week vacation in Greece/Greek islands celebrating our wedding anniversary (lovely country by the way). So I took a couple of pictures and was wondering if I can get some help trying to identify make and model of a few cars that I saw. See below.

Thanks!,
- Eric

What make and model is this? It reminds me of a TVR:

Also, what OPEL model is this? Am wondering if this is similar to the Saturn Sky (U.S.)...

It was really interesting to see Mercedes Benz as taxis. I got a chuckle out of one of the Mercedes taxi drivers when I asked him if it was an AMG. :-)

Lastly, love the Mercedes buses...much nicer than what we have here, unless of course you're rich enough to own your own (just not me). :-)

Really? Nice. We we went to the islands of Mykonos and Santorini. We were thinking of going to Naxos, Crete and one other island that escapes my mind but decided this was good enough for now. We were there for 2 weeks but I think 3 weeks would've been better. Oh well. I'll need to accrue more vacation days here at work...

Thanks,
- Eric

The first car is a smart car sport coupe....they stopped making it 2 years ago I think, along with the 4 door version. The only one that they make now is the 2 door economy scary little thing the four 2 or 4 two, however they spell it......(according to the models at the Frankfurt auto show).

Opel did base a model on the same frame as the Pontiac and Saturn and it is amost identical to the sky with the badging changed. It is the new version of the Opel GT. That however is not it. that is actually a hardtop convertible model of an Opel Tigra Twin Top.

As for the Mercedes, ya takes some getting used to, but at least that one isn't the standard pale yellow taxi color they have everywhere in Germany.

Hope this helps.

No problem.....I am an American living in Germany, who is a car nut in general, so living over here has given me all new rides to figure out...just gotta keep up with back home too.

If ya want to see some awsome cars from around the world, cars I've never seen before.....it was amazing going to the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. I actually had a guy driving down the road in a Testerossa taking pictures of my C6 convertible. was funny watching him fumble to try and get a shot of me from that car.
