Default Markland Racing

Just tell me what you want to know about This new unique team and the Z06.
I happens to be responsible for the marketing of the team.
So far the car are about 2 weeks from the first shake down test, and another number of tests will take place i march, before the hole team goes to the Paul Ricard circut for the official test days.
The team will do everything posible to get a start ticket for this years Le Mans 24 hour. So spread the rumor and the support - it might could be important for getting an invitation !
Markland Racing have got the exclusive rights to be the only teams with an Z06 in the GT 2 series in Europe. The car are a magnificent tool with great potential over time.
The team are one step from anouncing the 3. driver in the line up. The official website will be up and running in about 1 weeks time.

Good luck on the Le Mans start. I hope to see you out there. Nothing like hearing a Corvette scream across a track.
Or maybe at another European Race. Any plans on starting in Germany or Belgium?

Could it be that your site is not up yet?

Of course I hope to see you in action at Le Mans first, but if not, at least I'll see you at some other nice locations.

Can you post photos and/or tech specs? (Or do I have to be patient and wait for the web site to be up?)

Good luck!!

No Michelin tire support for GT2 teams in LMS

Michelin is supplying tires for nearly every P1 team in the Le Mans Series and news comes that they won't be supporting any GT2 teams this year.

Will the LMS GT2 teams use Michelins at the 75th running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans? Three ALMS GT2 teams will use Michelins at Le Mans (Risi Competizione with two Ferraris, and Flying Lizard with one Porsche 997).

Markland Racing will hopefully use Yokohama tires. The tyre choice are for each individual team to choose.

Did the ACO not known Markland Racing well enough to give them an entry for the 24 Hours of Le Mans in June?

How much of the production Z06 will the race car contain?

The series used to be called the Le Mans Endurance Series in 2004 and 2005, but it was changed to the Le Mans Series for last season.

Default Unique Marketing with Markland Racing !

We are getting close to the season testing in France now. The Markland Racing Corvette Z06 are now assembled and indeed running. It turns out that the engine performs significant better than expected and the hole team are excited to get on the race tracks the next 6 days for serious testing. Our website will finally be running in 2 days now- www.markland-racing.eu

We would very much like to get some more international companies on board as sponsors on this "lonely" car in the GT2, because a good sponsor/ collaborator also can bring that valueable "hype" around our team. So please use your links out there and spread the rumor, because this car and this series are a unique marketing tool for a resonable price. Please contact min@mayday-design.com, for more information, brochure, sponsorpackages etc.

We still maintain the hope, that there might be rooms for us at the 24 hours of Le Mans.

Actually the Z06 idea came from the Chief Engineer, Peter Rasmussen who is also the man who have build the car - and the most respected man to do such a job in Denmark.
We have all been reading the amazing articles from every Car Magazine in the world, that with the Z06 the corvette is now a very strong player in the "supercar" field. From an racing perspective it was very interesting, that the car from birth now are fitted a lot of "rcing prepared" parts - ex. the numbers of titanium parts in the engine.
Henrik loved the idea and also saw the possible benefit in the fact that Markland Racing are standing out from the crowd - therefore the team went for the exclusive rights to build this car for the Le Mans series - and got it !!!!!

What color will the car be? Will Jan Magnussen test the car at all?
