2023 C5 of the Year Finalist - Modified
Challenger owners typically don't own their cars long enough to figure that out. They normally get impounded for doing donuts in intersections or get repoed.

Considering my stock C4 rear tires are wider than a Hellcat rear tire and has beaten them on the streets shows you how much of a failure they are at getting that power down.

With the extra weight over the rear end, tires don't have to be as wide. The ls2 powered GTO had like 245s out back. My TBSS has 255s out back with an ls2. Properly applied weight adds a lot of traction.
But yeah, the first mod.people.domwith hellcats is wider wheels and tires I think.

Standard-width Challengers use 245 width rubber, but the widebody Hellcat has 305's - biggest reason for the change was traction; I imagine it helps a lot.

Boy...tough crowd. Standard Hellcat non-widebody comes with 275's I believe. Yes, it's not enough tire for the Hellcat. Even my little 5.7 will knock the tires off through 2nd, so a Hellcat has got to be a real hand full on the street. Hence the reason they came out with the widebody.

It took toyo r888r 325-35-20 rear tires, 80 F sunny day and a 300 lb passenger in the rear seat to get the 2019 challenger hellcat redeye auto to hook from a start... otherwise it is a burnout machine!
