Default New Toy

Could not resist grabbing one before they are gone. Loaded R/T manual shaker. Love this car! Instantly takes me back to Cragar SS wheels, glasspacks and AM radio. It's such a fun car to drive, watching the Shaker move around, and damn do these cars sound good! Sounds so much better than my C7 w/NPP.

Glad I got a last slice of American muscle to keep in my garage. This one is a keeper. Needs some nice chrome rims!

Nice! These are great cars. Please, please remove your bumper guards. And enjoy the ride!

Nice car. 5.6 or 6.4?

They shift nice. Not that junk *** transmission Ford puts behind the 5.0.

It's the 5.7. It's been hard to find "the car". The Scat Packs have all been automatics, or wrong options, no sunroof etc. Mine was loaded and it had to be manual with a sunroof. Honestly, the 5.7 is still plenty of fun.

They make good use of their torque curve and don't feel slow at all. A roll race isn't it's strong suite but for hammering gears and off the line it's still peppy. Good on you for getting those options. It's how I'd spec it, too. Enjoy and be safe!

Very nice! The red is beautiful, and you can't go wrong with the stick! I never knew how much I missed driving a manual until I got another one.

Yes, though manuals seem to be so rare you would likely have to get the order in quickly. I'll probably enjoy it as is for a while and then either do a 426 N/A build, or add a S/C. This car will be a keeper.

Just curious, does the shaker provide air to anything like back in the day?

Yes, it is functional. It has been proven that it does in fact lower the IAT several degrees.

It does just fine for me. I was never one of those low IQ morons that felt entitled to push my Corvette in the twisties and put other people at risk just so I could appreciate the capabilities of my car. Moreover, I had no interest in tracking the Vette either.

My FIL had a 2016 5.7 Shaker. Love the looks.

Question, though. How does it lower AIT's as the filter is in the same spot behind the drive headlight?

There is ducting that runs from the Shaker to the cold air box. Some people have gotten pretty creative and resourceful at blocking the scoop off, or pointing a fan into the scoop and having a camera in the airbox showing the air movement. 3-5 degrees of ambient temp drop was about the average of some of the real world experiments.

Interestingly, magnuson makes a blower that fits under the Shaker and retains all the factory functionality.
