PHEVs in the end will dominate until fuel cells are economy viable (whenever we make fusion power work, and get a lot of fusion plants operational). If governments were really serious about climate change ge, we would take every dollar we spend on "green" tech and shove it into fusion research to try to expedite progress on it. More scientists, more construction of experimental plants, throw all the money and people at it. That's a technology that is going to unlock a lot of powerful changes.

The numbers show that the EV market isn't growing the way they thought it would. People aren't converting en masse like they expected, and EVs are likely to end up a niche vehicle for people that they work for. I think they've basically reached peak market share. From this point forward it's going to be more companies competing for a slice of a pie thats not getting any bigger relative to the market.

Been watching prices on a couple localish ones free fall the past few weeks. Dropped from low 90s to barely over 80, no takers.
With interest rates the way they are, that's a steep payment. I suspect based on the amount of time they've had them they're already not selling at auction either, and these will drop into the 70s.
That's a lot of car at 75k, but I just keep going back to wanting a pickup truck.
