I bought an '07 Quattroporte for this reason.
It's the same F136 engine made by Ferrari, except the Maserati uses a more traditional cross-plane crankshaft, as opposed to the Ferrari's flat-plane version. Won't rev as fast as the Ferrari, but will last about 3 times longer.

I've always dreamed of a first-gen Quattroporte if not for the maintenance costs. They sound nuts.

This

Cross Plane with different firing order will always produce a different sound than a flat plane. Won't rev as high or as fast, but that's the trade-off for additional counterbalance weights placed on the cross plane crankshaft.

The motors utilize a different firing order than most cars, so that combined with you spiraling into inescapable and crushing debt creates a unique sound.
