The Emira is not meant to be a Z06 competitor. It is meant to compete with the Porsche Cayman (718) and similar. It is a great looking car in my opinion (it has exotic car lines) and the 4 cylinder AMG engine is the ticket. The six cylinder is a Toyota engine so I would imagine at least the engine should be reliable.

I was interested in the Emira until the reviews started pooping up. Lotus has made a car that is nice to be in but lost its soul doing so.
There are rumors of a harder edged Emira in the works that will give a sharper drive experience and that may interest me again. That said, the Emira is stunning and definitely looks like a super car. I'll pay more for my Z06 but I don't think I would mind having a hard edged Emira in the same garage, I guess I'll have to wait and see.
