100,000 to spend and....
I can't find any vehicle that meets my requirements (frame off restoration w/impeccable interior)
This is what I've been looking for:
A perfect 1970/1971 350 cu in/300 hp 4 speed Nova SS which must
be perfect as new.
A 1966 442, 4 speed in mint condition.
A 1965 GTO, Tri-Power, 4 speed, mint.
Keep in mind, I'm going to daily drive this
vehicle.
Exterior color....anything but black.
I've been looking for months.
** Update Feb 09, 2022: New 2022 CT4-V will be here in 2 weeks. Got real tired of looking at inflated pricing on sub-par cars.

I had a nice 66 Chevelle Malibu that was restored in 1998, when I got it I bought a 502 big block for it and then got into a divorce. Sold everything for $10k. Man I miss that car. It wasn’t no 100k car, but it sure as hell wasn’t a 10k car either.

Totally understand.
My dad purchased a brand new silver 1966 442 Convertible, 3:90 posi, 4 speed for $3800. I was 17 and drove the **** out of that car.
At 22, I bought a 1971 Nova SS, 4 speed 300 hp....
Nostalgia is eating me alive....

That's the tough part of this inflated market. Lots of 50-footers are selling for primo prices. Hard to nail down the good ones.

How far is the daily drive? It’s your money but it doesn’t seem practical to me to spend that amount (I don’t have that amount) on a classic and wear the **** out of it daily driving it.
I suppose if I was rich I wouldn’t give two *****, and probably do exactly what you’re trying to do. Lol
OP, so best of luck to you in the sincerest way.

I'm old, retired and want to have a vehicle that I really WANT.
I'm just going to have a bit of fun before I go. Seriously.

At first I reat your post as $10k and thought you were nuts, but you should be able to find what you want for 10 times that. Good luck with the search, that is half the fun.

Are you sure you want a super mint car? Have you had one before? I've had hundreds of cars, many like what you are looking for. They are great for weekends car shows and cruise nights but not so great for everyday use.
First off, in stock condition the brakes will suck, handling will suck, a/c will suck, wipers will suck, etc. Driving a car like that will be fun at first but I think you will tire of it quickly. They are also not the safest cars on the road.
Second, spending that kind of money, it will be hard to leave it in parking lots without worrying about it. Or driving in crappy weather. Or on crowded roads with crazy inattentive drivers these days.
Third, maintenance. Do you wrench on your own cars? Older cars will require more maintenance and finding a good trust worthy shop is not easy. Not to mention the cost. Then there is the inconvenience of breaking down on the side of a busy freeway.
Personally, I'd have much more fun in a $30K to $50K driver quality car than a perfect $100K car. Beaters are better! Take the other $50K + that you save and buy a nice late model DD and save the classic for special occasions. Besides, when you only drive your classic occasionally it stays special. When you drive it every day that feeling wears off quickly. Like a beautiful but high maintenance woman, you love looking at her but eventually get tired of her crap.
That said, if you can't find one online, I'd start going to local car shows or some of the big national events. Always tons of cars for sale.

How about a 2009 G8?

Those are cool, but get the GXP, not the GT.
The GT came with a 361 hp. The GXP had 415 hp.

That's a swerve, you go from a frame off perfect muscle car to an Australian built sedan?
If you're interest in those, get a scat pack or Hellcat charger, or a Chevy ss. The G8 was kinda... It wasn't garbage, but it didn't sell for a very good reason. It just wasn't a sorted out product.
Honestly though, just get a Hellcat.
