My DD was a 2017 Ford Focus RS. 350 hp/tq, AWD, 6 speed manual, hatchback. It was the funnest DD I’ve ever had. Handled snow like a champ!

Posting your budget would help a ton.......... People's perception of what a "winter beater" is and what it costs can cover a huge delta in terms of price.

I'm not looking for a $1k beater, but I'm also not looking for a $20k car. Feel free to let me know what you're selling.

So we are still at a ~$19K delta....LOL!!!!! You want help from this forum but you provide the absolute minimal amount of details in terms of what you want? Do you need 4 doors or 2? Do you need AWD? Do you prefer manual or auto, ETC........ If you expect people to spend time in responding/looking into what you want/need, please afford people the respect of providing some solid details into what you're looking for. Fair enough????

If you're seriously looking to stay south of $20K and want a killer everyday car........ A B8.5 S4 will check the boxes. I bought a new 2013 S4 back in April of 2013..... owned it for nearly 6 years and other than routine maintenance, it had zero issues. The only car I've owned that never had a single issue. The 3.0T engine is basically bulletproof, the DSG transmission from 2013 on was also a non issue (early 2010-2012 cars had issues with the mechatronics unit in the trans). I wouldn't be scared of buying one with 80-90K miles....... There are a number of examples on the forums (both S4's and 3.0T model A6's) that have 6 figure mileage with some owners in excess of 200K miles. Here is a local car in PA that is well optioned at a nice price. Bought a brand new S6 early last year and it has been flawless thus far.

LOL!!!!! You're exactly the kind of person that nobody is going to help/post to because of your extreme vagueness in what you actually want. No "actual sellers" are going to respond to your thread. You've been offered advice/help which you're clearly disregarding. Good luck!!!!!
