FS: 2006 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited 39K miles
For sale is my 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon. It has 39,500 original miles. It has never been wrecked or rusted, never in inclement weather. Stock except for a top-of-the-line Old Man Emu 2.5” suspension lift and the bumper corner delete mod (have the OEM bumper corners). I believe the pictures speak for themselves as to the condition.
A 2005-06 Unlimited Rubicon with the 6-speed trans is pretty much the Holy Grail of modern Jeeps, and near-impossible to find with this condition and mileage.
Jeep is fully-sorted and up-to date on maintenance. Recent maintenance (2019) includes:
-All fluids changed (synthetic oils)
-Front rotors and pads
-Replaced OPDA (preventive maintenance as per various articles and threads on the internet)
-Replaced all front ball joints with USA-made Spicer units
-Alignment
Please don't ask a ton of questions then lowball me. I know what it's worth and I don't need to sell it; I just found I use it less and less and want the storage spot back for another incoming toy. Asking $26K, fairly firm. Would consider trades up on 63-67 Corvette, or maybe a C7 Z06.

It has factory Dana 44 4.10s, with the electronic lockers both front and as was the factory kit on Rubicons. With the 6 speed trans it’s still comfortable to cruise 75 on the highway. Thanks for your question.

Should mention also I have a clean Carfax in hand from when I bought the Jeep over the holidays last year, glad to send to anyone interested.
Only reason I’m selling is that we just haven’t had much time to use it. I envisioned this was something my 3 year old and I would enjoy together versus all my vintage cars, but we just haven’t had the time.

have a 2015 now but had a 2005 rubicon just like yours but red. that color of yours has allways been my favorite. The new one does about everything better but it lacks that "JEEP FEEL" the cjs had and to be honest I like the 4.0 better then I do the 3.6 and its worlds better then the 3.8

Did you end up making a deal with the high bidder, or was that person a flake?

Never heard from high bidder. I almost never use eBay because buyers are often unreliable, but I got over 3,000 views and 150 watchers, which is more than I’ve gotten in the past. I have someone driving from Ohio today and another person coming from out of state tomorrow if today’s buyer doesn’t pull the trigger. Will update here when it sells.

Coincidentally, I sold my C6 to a buyer in Oregon a few years ago. I think it was a 3 day drive back for him. I’d work with you on the price to offset transport costs or a fresh set of tires.
I’d like to see this go to a good home and continue to be gently used and well preserved.

That is the nicest, cleanest LJ Rubi I have ever seen! Smart to keep it. Those torque boxes look as good as new. Just wow!
One note, the lockers are not electric, they are air.

I took an endoscope to the inside of the frame when I bought the Jeep--there is literally no rust inside or out. Still has the factory black coating on the inside, same as the outside. It was sold new in Oklahoma and stayed there until 2016, and ever since it's been stored indoors in a controlled climate garage/shop when not being driven. And never driven in winter.
