It was a bright red, dual exhaust, bucket seats, 4 on the floor...VW Beetle like the one pictured below.

It was my dad’s 2nd car and he let me use it my senior year.

I’ve always liked red cars...my first 2 Corvettes were red. (See what I did there?)

Guess I shudda added the other way I got to high school before my senior year....a commuter train between San Bruno and Mt. View, where my high school was located:

Fair enough. I'll play. Sadly, I don't have any pics, but this is the model. Mine was somewhat modified.

I'll toss this one in too since you started it with such a beauty. My first car was a Bug (not this one) but someone else at school had a Lemans blue '69 Z that I thought was so beautiful that I promised myself I'd have one one day. I still can't believe how long it took (and cost)

None. Bought my first car after I graduated from college - little junky fiat sport coupe that stranded me on the road constantly.

I had several different cars. I started with a 72 Buick Centry then a 71' Supper Beetle then a 77' Triumph TR7 and finished with what was my mother's 79' Camaro. I also had two different motorcycles a 72' Honda CB 175 then a 78' Honda Hawk 400.
BTW I was only in high school for Three years like most just went through a lot of car this is something that hasn't changed must throughout my life it has slowed down a bit but I have several at any time.. I wish I had pictures of some of my old cars lots of great memories!

My first car was a 61 comet that I got in 66 to commute to college. My parents had a 61 valiant back then and the old joke was "what do you get when you cross a valiant and a comet?" A Vomit with bucket seats that throw up and a horn that goes blaaa.

Had this in my freshman and sophomore years (64 &65).<br/>My girlfriend who was 5' 11" could actually put both feet on the dashboard when we had - - -.

Then, in 1966 I had this.

"66 442 4 speed. It was warm that day so we didn't roll up the windows!
