Question about a '13 CTSV I'm looking to buy
Hey guys,
I figured I would ask about this here since I am sure some of you have run into this before. I am looking at a '13 CTSV that only has 26k miles. I looked at the autocheck records and it says it was "reported at auto auction as manufacturer vehicle". It was sold with 7,758 miles on it and was then sold as a certified vehicle. My question is, does it being a previous manufacturer vehicle effect value? Does this mean the car was an executive car? Any tips on this car would be helpful. It seems to be in very good condition and a fun car that can haul the family. Thanks.

Drifting
Could be GM corporate car or a dealer demo. Great cars with a bulletproof drivetrain. Two weaknesses on them are the rear end ( if it's whining a bit you will need a new rear) and the supercharger. If it sounds like there's a marble in it or a rattle chances are it's done. GM is backing the supercharger for eith 100 or 125k miles. I owned a 2012 4dr V and loved that car. May get a 3rd gen V next.

Thanks for the info. After a little more research it was used in Warren, Mi. GM has there tech center, customer care center and others there. Looking more like an exec car. Does that effect the value, though?

I am the second owner of a 2014 CTS Sport Wagon (sadly it's not a V)...the previous owner was GM in Michigan...I've not had any real issues with it and all was taken care of prior to my ownership or under the BTB warranty...
I wouldn't hesitate to buy if it passes all your other scrutiny...
Good luck with your choice.

The 09' CTS-V that I owned was the same type of car; IMO it didn't affect the value at all when I sold the car.
