2016 Dodge Charger R/T Scat Pack vs. Porsche 911 Turbo 1/4 mile drag run
My brother's stock Charger R/T Scat Pack taking on an awesome Porsche.
Even with the huge trap speed disparity, this is yet another lesson how quick a drag race is. Any hiccup against another, and you'll need a huge power to weight advantage to catch up.
The Charger R/T Scat Pack in Maximum Steel Blue is a real looker too.

That's a really good time! I didn't realize they were mid 12 cars stock.

Thanks. If that car had the factory option forged wheels instead of the standard slugs + stickier compound summer tires, who knows, it might've run 12.3s @ 114.0 mph. The forged wheels are about 5 lbs. lighter per wheel. One rule of thumb is 1 lb. less weight of the wheel, especially if the weight as furthest from the center, equates **up to** 9 lbs. less static weight. So 5 lbs. x 9 x 4 wheels can be **up to** ~180 lbs. effective static mass (like one adult male passenger).

We only have 1/8th mile around here but my totally stock scat pack charger busted off a 7.85 in the 1/8 mile here and that's probably with 1000' DA. These cars run really good.
I ran a 7.90 right before that and have vid of it:
