Default Added a Camaro today

So I added the camaro to my stable today. The camaro, due to volume is not hard to find these days, they had the car I was looking for. After I drive it a bit, I'll comment on some of the differences...

PS... much less orange peel from the Lansing plant....

Ha! Awesome! This is the 2016, yes?

Less orange peel, according to Hennesy performance; more HP and torque in base form than a 2014 Stingray, more amenities, and $20,000 less in cost.

Should I be ashamed if I'm OK with getting less for more money just based on the corvettes looks? It's looking more and more like the Camaro is a far better value by any metric but looks.. maybe curb weight.. but for 2016 they took out 300lbs.

Seriously, if the Camaro specs were available when I ordered my vette in August, I might have gone that way. It drives me nuts to maintain 3 cars because I have 2 children.

I'm going to try and restrain myself… LOL… But for sure the first thing that's got to go tomorrow morning is that red/white/blue logo on the front fender… LOL

What do you think of the ergonomics? That was my biggest complaint of the last generation.

Congrats Glen. Nice looking ride.

The Camaro looks to be a very nice rig, and a good improvement over the prior gen. You've got a couple fun rides to play around with.

That color looks good on it, too.

It's feels very good for the 10 mile ride home I had. I sit a lot higher, so my back very much likes it. Seat felt great , like it was in the proper position, the center display is completely vertical and not tilted at all, looks kind of strange, but works very well , this is definitely the NexGen of electronics. The screen is closer to the level of an iPad, in picture quality. Touch is much better. I'm sure the C7 will get with a lot of this.

Now I'm going to take my own advice, and take a big beverage, and go sit in my car with the owners Manual.

The auto press reports that the ergonomics are much improved and even GM has admitted that the 5th gen had issues. The 6th gen is based on the platform for the ATS/CTS Cadillacs which is totally new while the last one was based on a very old Holden architecture.

It may look a lot like the last one but underneath it is a totally new car.

I know that I want one.

Glen, great looking car. I looked at a 2016 black one at my Chevy dealer this week. I might be giving it a new home.

You stated that due to volume, the Camaro is not hard to find.
I was told that each dealer will only get 1. Then, as production is ramped up, there will be more vehicles made available. This was the 7th largest Corvette dealer.

There was two 2016’s on the floor for sale today at AutoNation. And they had current allocation open for sale.

Nice ride! As soon as I shed a kid in six months, I'm gonna shed the kid mobile and the 16 Camaro is on my list of replacements. I'll be curious to hear your thoughts on how it rides.

Looks good Glenn, looking at one for my wife. Thinking about the blue 2SS with the black and white interior.
Lets us know more after you drive it a bit more.
Nice looking color.
