Uh, this is the C7 forum.

Not that the Mustang was ever intended to compete with a Corvette. However, I think that Ford did an outstanding job with the 15 Mustang; especially from a bang for the buck perspective. However, 435 HP for such a low price point is outstanding; even when compared with the C7. Like I said, GM will have to increase the HP/TQ rating of the base C7, in order to keep up with the current trend. Regarding the curb weight gain for the Mustang, the same happened with the C7 over the C6 as well.

How long before these HP wars are killed like they were in the 70's?

Mustang is a muscle car. Vette is a sports car. They're not made to compete with each other. Each has its pros and cons. We have a 2012 GT500 SVT vert in the garage next to my C7. They are two VERY different cars and I would never call the 'Stang a sports car.
But I bet you already knew that.

Which is why there's a forum here called "Other Cars."

I pointed out that there is a forum here specifically for discussions like this since it has nothing at all to do with Corvettes or C7s in particular. I then gave my perspective that a Mustang isn't a sports car, which comes from owning one. For that I get called a name. Go figure.

I was just providing information that I thought some C7 members might be interested in so that's why I posted it here and then I get jumped.

Hey OP, next time just type C7 somewhere in your post to save yourself the grief.

My fault. Lo siento.
p.s. I dig that picture of your white C7 with those low hanging clouds. I still don't have a good picture like that. I'm going to have to get up in the mountains to take some shots.

So if I start a thread here about, say, doomsday preppers and use 'C7' somewhere it belongs here? Cool! Because, you know, someone in the C7 Gen forum might want to know about that stuff and not know there are other forums here. In fact, why even have other forums, let's just have one giant forum for everything here. That would be awesome!
