Thinking about getting a 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT
Just wondering if anyone on here has one or has driven one. I'm looking at a white one loaded up. The only thing I'm worried about is resale value. I own a used car lot and watch auction values and they seem to loose money very fast. I love the looks of them though. If I do get one I will have to supercharge it also. Lol I'm coming out of a 2012 Platinum Escalade and I know it is going to be different but I think after I put some touches on it I will be happy with it. Again the only thing holding me back is the resale thing. I'm also going to look at a 2015 Tahoe. I would get another Escalade but I'm sick of people saying I'm trying to show off. The only reason I bought a Escalade in the first place was for the 6.2 motor.. Oh well I have a feeling I'm going to end up with a Jeep SRT...

It might be faster than the Escalade, but you won't be happy coming from the Escalade. I speak from experience.

I have driven an srt jeep and have owned 2 other srt hemi equipped vehicles. The jeep is nice but a very thirsty vehicle. If you like the grand Cherokee then why not look at one of the non-srt trims? Some of them come very well equipped.
As for resale, it's a Chrysler vehicle and even though it's relatively rare, it will drop like a rock. If you're looking for resale value I would skip it. If you want performance and a really nice sounding engine, then give it a try. The 392 hemi is a nice engine and the charger and challenger I had were both quite fast.

I drove the SRT and ended up buying the 2014 Summit with the Hemi, 4x4. Love it, the new 8 speed auto with paddle shift and sport mode is very quick. Plus the comfort level was better than the SRT.
Just my $0.02.

I own a 2014 Srt optioned out I bought from Criswell. Mike Furman at Criswell can sell you one if interested. You can walk from his dealer to the Jeep dealer if you dont mind the drive from PA. I got the Pano roof, Harmon Karmon Audio, Full Size spare, Spyder Monkey style wheels in Black Chrome. They gave me a hell of a discount. If you want to discuss more feel free to Pm me and we can chat on the phone. I have two boys with a third on the way and it is my four door corvette. It is probably one of the most fun vehicles I have ever owned. I can go for a spirited drive with my boys and than stop by the grocery store and home depot. The navigation system and Stereo blows away everything on the markit in my opinion. It even has auto headlights high beams, Advanced cruse control, lots of cool things. I am averageing 14mpg city with some highway. I can get 20 on the highway with the new 8 speed auto. It also shuts down four cyclinders like th new corvette and has active exhaust valves. It has adjustable suspension which is very cool and also changes you transmission shift points steering feel and exhaust notes. It compliments my Grand Sport very well.

Those SRT Jeep Cherokee's are pretty bad. But if you plan on S/C it, why are you worried about resale? We all know money on mods might as well be burnt in the fireplace if you're thinking about resale.

Ive had a a Crush on the SRT8 Cherokees for quite some time, as much as I would love one, I find it really silly to own a performance truck, they just never made sense to me, but hopefully in the future finances will allow for a silly performance truck.
