Default Should we have waited

Saw today on CNBC the new Porsche Spyder 918 Hybrid. 67 mpg. Think HP is around 600. Did the ring in under 7 minutes

Only around 800K

I think this is where the Corvette will go in the future, electric motors providing tourqe fill to turbo engine. A Cruzette.... Take note that the Tesla S, a 4 door sedan is competitive in the 1/4 mile with the C7 - give that some thought.

As soon as I hit the MegaMillions that Porsche is mine. Till then I'll be very satisfied with my C7.

Hybrid????..................I think I'm gonna puke. Don't get me wrong; I don't dispute how fast electric powered cars are. Electric motors offer instantaneous torque.
It's just that I don't like the idea of driving around electric appliances with 200 pounds of batteries under my ***.

On a similar note. What do you guys think of the 2014 Formula 1 cars (hybrid, sort of)? What a joke!!! I can fart louder than that. I thought racing was supposed to be about which car is faster? Now its about conserving energy, recharging battery packs and making complex calculations to ensure that they can complete a race on a set quantity of fuel. Oh well, I guess I'm just too old-school to understand. I guess "hyper-miling" has become the new norm in racing.
