that's a GREAT deal!! is it a 5spd? there's a red GT down the road from me that's been sitting for years. i'm sure i can get it cheap. only thing that's holding me back is the automatic transmission. do you have any more pics to share? what's the car need besides the obvious (paint and rear wing delete)?

Welcome to the Fiero club. I've owned 6 of them over the years, bought my first one new in '86. Currently own an 86 GT with 29K original miles. They are a ton of fun for cheap....and if you want it to go fast, you're an engine swap away.

V6 came with Muncie 4 speed in '85 and early '86. From late '86 to '88 they came with Getrag 5 speed. The 4 cylinders were Isuzu 5 speed from late '86 to '88. Earlier 4 bangers were 4 speed Muncies as well.

V6 was available in either SE or GT models.

Default I had a 87 gt as a dd for a couple of years...

It was a fun little car that got great fuel mileage. There is a local Fiero club here. One guy put a Norhtstar v8 in his. It hauled ***.

We've done numerous engine swaps over the years. Been through the SBC, 4.9 Cadillac, and 3800SC. A buddy did an 88 GT with a 3800SC running nitrous. The car was downright brutal.

I am going to keep it and have some fun with it
I will get it painted and fix the broken stuff but CA smog laws will not allow for and engine swap.

Always like Fiero's! Sad that it turned out to be a GM marketing screwup!

I have a 1987 Fiero.. but don't drive it much as it has only 79 actual miles on it. They are Great little fun cars. if you get a chance try "Pennocks Fiero Forum" its a great place...

I have an 87 GT with a 3800 Turbo in it (ran a 10.9 quarter mile). Fun cars, they seem to be getting more desirable as they age.

Here it is at the flashlight drags, I ended up beating the GTR 2 out of 3 races.

Awesome. I always liked these cars. Heard the susp geometry wasn't great in the earlier ones but they sorted that out in 88. If I ever wreck my SHO or it rots out too bad i'm picking up one of these and swapping that motor (285whp na, 360 n2o) in a Fiero!
