...Why do so many not understand EVERY company producing cars in America has to follow certain guidlines, one of them being decreased emmissions.
Cylinder deactivation probably not happenin. From what I understand its not very "performance" friendly due to cam/valve/spring selection. Start/Stop, sure. Put it in every car. Has 0 impact on performance and so far, no one has ever given a logical reason as to not have it other then "it shouldn't be on a sports car."(so long as the electrical system is designed to handle it)

Its sad but its the world we are living in and moving towards ! Emissions is a huge envelope we are entering. I have been Landscaping in a heavy built up area on a busy corner intersection and for 2 days not one hoon. Not one car pushing hard ? C63's M3's M5's GT3's our own local Corvette engined sedans all driving like miss daisy ! Stewy

They don't have to follow the guidelines. There is just a penalty that has to be paid if the fleet doesn't meet the numbers. A company like Lambo won't even come close with something like start/stop technology. Just pass the penalty on to the consumer and let the mass-manufacturers work on fleet solutions.
