Ran beside a Nissan GT-R today
Left the gym and noticed a car do a u-turn way ahead of me - Then, was a spec of dust... I thought, that must be a fast car.
He was at the red light about to turn left where I needed to. So, I was directly behind him. I did not know what a Nissan GT-R was - But, I had an idea it was something fast the way the BIG pipes rolled out the back.
At first, I thought it was just another tuner car with a BIG pipe - Until I rolled-up beside it after the light. I knew from the side view that this was NO KIDS tuner car - It looked awesome - And, in a factory designed awesome way and NOT and aftermarket want-to-be awesome...
I looked over at the guy and gave him a thumbs up and he gave one back. He continued on and I turned right to my house.
Got home and Googled what it was that I ran beside (Good thing I do not race and just drive - because now I know that this guy would have handed me my A$$ in a jar.... Ha, Ha...
What I passed was a 6 cylinder twin-turbo 550 HP SUPERCAR that does 0-60 in 2.9 seconds - And, is $95k...
Only 6 cars in the world can do 0-60 in under 3 seconds - And, I don;t think a corvette is one of them...
It really looked nice - But, I will stay an entire 1 second behind him with my z-51 coupe which was MORE than half the price of that car... Ha, Ha... And, he can't even take the top off of his - Ha, Ha...
Now, if I was on my Hayabusa - Picture on Avatar - I would have had NO HESITATION to run with him... And, would have enjoyed his front view in my rear view mirror... Ha, Ha..
Great looking car though

You really have to see it up-close to really appreciate the car. Pictures do not do it justice at all.
The lines and gaps were flawless - And, the fit-and-finish were what you would expect from a 100k car - Beautiful.

many many haters of the car for sure. was at a meet & greet with him and it was about 50/50 behind his back.

looking for an identity
gtr is just out there...have mercy on the sea of porsches and most corvettes that encounter one. but the car is a total mystery to the majority of the public. the gtr has no identity. i've always said the technology needs to be adapted to the Z.
