How much are you wanting to spend? What type of vehicle? What does he like? What have you offered that he hasn't liked?

^^This. And I have a '09 Lexus IS250. Asking $27500. Great as a daily driver and on gas. Best of luck!

he is looking somewhere around 10K nothing special just something that gets him from A-B without any worries. im trying to talk him into another vette but he is looking for more like a honda or something similiar with great gas mileage that doesn't look all beat to hell and back.

If he is looking for a cheap car and economical I would suggest a cavalier or cobalt. cavaliers are very cheap nowadays and parts are cheap as well. Repairs can be done in driveway and that little ecotec engine can go 100k+ miles without a worry.

A little more than that you could score a used scion XD. It's basic as can be but has about everything you could want and I regularly get 34mpg in-town and close to 40 on teh expressway. It's not cool, it's not quick, it's not really anything other than odd looking and useful to me since it's a hatch and the rears fold flat i can pack it full of crap.

For $10K I would look into a Mazda 3 - better handling than a Civic, Sentra, Cobalt, or Focus and far more reliable than a VW.
