I checked, and there are no recent Mustang sales on eBay; however, once I narrowed it down to the 2005+ cars with a hardtop and a manual (which includes all Boss and Laguna Seca models on the site) the KBB max at the top of the page was $46,205

Laguna Seca #33 is up right now with a Buy It Now of $108,499.00. Seller is an idiot, IMHO: they're making 750, so it isn't rare enough for that. #44 is also up with a Buy It Now of $63,465.00. I can totally see that selling without a problem.

For reference, Boss 302 #184 is listed for BIN at $47,000.00 and #22 is listed for BIN at $46,500.00. There are a couple listed mid-$50k but honestly the market seems to be under $50k for Boss cars and under $70k for the Laguna Seca.

Just for a Corvette reference to give an idea of how many Laguna Secas will be out there with a production run of 750, there were 1,415 ZR1s produced for 2009.

Can you imagine what kind of Corvette we'd have today if the Viper had never been built?

I agree on the Mustang thing, but the C4 ZR1 had 385hp before the 400hp Viper came out, and jumped up to 405hp right after. Viper or no Viper, Chevrolet would have continued stepping up the game to maintain the Vette's standing against its competition from other countries.

11.7s with drag radials as the only mod...that's spectacular straight line performance
and these cars handle and stop REALLY well too.

You guys remind me of a playground full of kids ! I live in Australia we don't get any of these cars. I'm so jealous I would of bought a Camaro as the family car but now the 5.0 is out I'd be thinking that the Muzzy would be my next family hauler. Lucky buggers Stewy

[QUOTE=silver86;1577260053]Just picked one up myself. This is, believe it or not, one incredibly refined machine. Gone is the cheap "plasticy" feel from the 1st gen S197. The leather is supple, interior trim is quality, handling is impressively sharp and balanced, the MT-82 trans is like playing with silk, and the engine is just eager to rev with gobs of tourque to play with.

Styling over the top? Maybe. But i would've stuck with the Accord if that bothered me.

[/QUOTE

Love your new Pony car ! It sounds like a great car ! Stewy

My neighbor has a V-6 '11 Mustang auto.... He ran 13.5 at 103 stock on stock tires. My 04 M3 ran in that bracket. These new Mustangs are awesome performers...all the way down to the base model!!

You can have a brand new Mustang with the Laguna Seca package directly from Ford for under $50K, so who knows what got sold on FleaBay.

OMG! I knew the manual V6 was capable of 13.8s/13.7s but 13.5 out of an automatic?!
Amazing.

Lets just hope that the new Boss 302 Mustang will be using a different manual tranny than what comes in the 2011 Mustang GTs!
