bottom line 200K for a 2008 Ferrari with 20K plus miles is a tough sell especially with a lot on ebay with less than half the miles for almost the same price.....example, 8400 miles $199k OBO....

I agree and disagree.....most that can afford 200K for a car can probably afford 250-300K to pick up a slightly used 458.....the 50-100K is not just a little more though....when it comes down to it I think most would spend the extra to buy an almost brand new 458 or if they can get on the list at a dealer pick it up for MSRP....

I also agree with everything you state except this: In the end (when you sell the 458), you will get that 50+ g's back. So really it's not anymore at all (or very little), and maybe less (in the end). For example, see what a 360 is going for vs. a 430. That's why it's going to take an extremely special buyer (nice term for uneducated) to drop 200 g's on a 20+ K mile 430. This happens every time Ferrari introduces there new model (308/348/355/360/430/458). The previous model value drops like a rock, and then eventually levels off. In other words, spending 200 g's on a 430 now is a risky proposition since were at the top of that hill.

So... Let's say I could some how mount a mailbox on the 430 and convince wells fargo to give me a second mortage, what would my annual maintenance cost be on this car? Stunning car, one of my all time fav's.. Glws!!

I saw of these at a brokers garage a couple months back & omg they are attractive. Everything is top notch. The interiors are leaps ahead of a corvette.
Um better interior ?

Not much if you go year by year. But there is a big maintenance job somewhere down the line. I think year 5 or 6 you have to do a $5k maintenance at the dealership.

Sweet looking ride. I think the pinstripe sized racing stripes could have been more bold though. Last group of exotics I seen was at the IAA Car show in Frankfurt, and Hamann Design had some killer Ferraris on line.
Good luck with the sale.

I'm getting the feeling that this ferrari for sale on the corvette forum is kind of like trying to sell a 300$ couch purse at the dollar store... Just not gonna happen.. We all have corvettes because 99.9 percent of us on here can't afford ferrari's. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the F430, but unless I hit the lotto, stike oil, or win a law suite ill never own one.. Ever herd the term "redneck ferrari"? Its one of the corvette's nick names. Not bashing by any means, just keeping it real..
